This article explains the various settings and options for registering for events.

To register

To edit the event registration settings, navigate to the 'Register' tab for the event in question.

Login options

There are several registration options available, namely:

  • Registration possible - Check this box to enable registration for the event.

  • "Register" registration type - members and any external parties can register once and choose their ticket. This is most similar to how Congressus registration has always worked. If the event is fully booked, you can also use a waiting list.

  • Select "Ticketing" as the registration type - members and any external parties can purchase one or more tickets. Multiple orders are possible. This is useful for events like galas and parties. If you want to allow members to bring guests, you should also select "Ticketing." While it's not possible to use a waiting list for ticketing, you can limit the number of tickets sold.

  • Audience - The audience can only be selected if no tickets have been created yet. Once tickets are created, each ticket type has its own audience. Learn more about creating and editing ticket types .

Please note: Changing the registration type or disabling registration will not affect tickets that have already been sold.

Order form

If you selected 'Sign in' you will only have the option to allow buyer comments here.

  • Comments - If this option is selected, you can add a comment to your order. The "Comments Description" field allows you to add a placeholder for the comments field, or you can add a question ("Do you have any allergies?" "What's your favorite color?").

If you've selected 'Ticketing', you'll also see the following settings in addition to 'Comments':

  • Required information - Normally, the purchaser's name and email address are displayed on each ticket. If "Every attendee" is selected here, a name and email address will be provided for each ticket.

  • Maximum number of tickets per order - The maximum number of tickets that can be purchased per order. Leave this field blank if your participants can purchase an unlimited number of tickets.
