Congressus's membership administration only has one standard email field. You can imagine that a karate club with young members might also want to be able to contact parents, and a homeowners' association (VVE) might also want to be able to email partners or co-owners.
From now on, you can add alternative email addresses to your membership administration in Congressus and include them in a mailing.
Add alternative email addresses to your membership administration
An alternative email address is a so-called "Custom Field" in your membership administration. This is an additional field in your membership administration. You cannot add this yourself; our Support colleagues can do that for you.
Send to alternative email addresses
Once all settings are correct, you can choose to include alternative email addresses when composing a mailing. This knowledge base article explains how to create a mailing.
Allow or block email domains
For both the primary and backup email addresses, you can contact Support to allow or block specific email domains for that field. In other words, which domains do you want to have entered, or not, for your primary or backup email address?
This
way, as an association, you can force the primary email address to always be a student email address, for example, and the backup email address to be anything but the student email address.

It can be helpful to prevent members from entering a student email address if you only have one email field for your association. This is because once a student graduates, their email address becomes unusable. This means you can no longer contact them. To block an email domain, please contact Support .
