Your website is the face of your association. Read more about lay-out tips in this article.

In this article we will assume you have just created an empty webpage. To fill a webpage you obviously first need to have a webpage, this article will explain how you can create a new webpage.

Adding content

When you are at your empty web page you can click on the button 'add content' you get a pop up menu with the following options:

When adding one of these content blocks you will get the options of deciding on the size of the block. The reason for this is because the websites of Congressus scale with the users screen size. By default we use three content blocks which have 1/3 of the screen size. So that when the users screen is smallers only one content block will be shown with the rest underneath.

Text

Add a text block. When you start typing the following bar will be shown:

From left to right we offer the following options: text formatting, numbered and dotted lists, (hyper) links, tables and headers. Do not forgot to click on the 'save changes' button.

Image

To add an image, you first need to upload it to the media folder, you can read how to do this and more in this article.

When you are adding an image, you will get the option to also add a caption or to create a link.

Event headlines

Adds the event feed to your webpage. This feed will show the upcoming events, however only if the visitor is allowed to see the event feed. When creating this content block you will choose the event categories that are shown. If it happens that this content block stays empty check if the right event categories are selected or add the content block again.

News headlines

Adds the news feed to your webpage. This feed will show the current and the newest news articles to your webpage. If it happens that this content block stays empty check 'News' to see if there are still current news headlines.

Blog headlines

Adds the blog feed to your webpage. This will show the current and newest blog posts to your webpage. If it happens that this content block stays empty check 'Blogs' to see if there are still current blog posts.

Group members

Add a list of group members to your website. This can be useful if you want to create board- or commission pages to your website. The group members of the selected groups will be shown here, including their functions. Changes to the group in the Manager will be updated automatically and shown on the webpage.

Media folder

Adds the functionality 'Media' to the webpage. When adding this to your webpage you will be prompted to select a folder from 'Media' to be shown. Foto's will be shown in a smaller size and documents or pdfs will be shown in a list and can be downloaded.

HTML

For the advanced users, you can add html code here to for example add a widget to your website. Tip: if the content blocks do not line up properly add an HTML block in full length with the code"

This way you add a whiteline to your webpage that could make your webpage look a bit more structured.
