Tips for saving storage & data:
Every photo you upload is 'optimized' by Congressus for the internet (to a maximum of 2000px wide or high).
Congressus keeps the 'original' and the 'optimized' file.
Both files count towards your total storage usage (10GB free, view on invoice)
So it pays off to reduce the size of the photos yourself (2000px) before uploading them to Congressus
If you want to publish photo albums, for example, from events, you can do so via 'Photo Albums'. Here, photos can be organized into folders. All photo albums are clearly displayed on a separate webpage. Logged-in members can also leave comments, tag other members, and like photos in the photo albums. You cannot add a separate photo album to a webpage.
⚠️Please note:
You can only add PNG, JPG or GIF files to the photo albums
If you only want to add images as thumbnails to text on a webpage, it's best to do this via 'Media' and then add the media folder to the webpage. All images in this media folder will be displayed as thumbnails and can be enlarged by clicking on the thumbnail.
Add photo albums to your website
Create a webpage.
Add a new webpage under Web Pages > Add Webpage.
Select "Photo Albums" in the module and specify whether login is required or not. You can do this under the Publication tab.
If the Photo Albums module isn't displayed here, you already have a page with Photo Albums!
Manage photo albums
On the left side of the Congressus Manager menu, you'll also see Photo Albums. Here you can create folders under which your photo albums will be stored.
Publication: Private or Public?
Check carefully what's listed on the Publication tab of each webpage containing photos. You can find this under the Publication tab, then under Publication Options, and then Visibility. Also

Likes, tags and comments
Keep your members engaged and active! With the photo albums module, you can specify per photo album whether:
Members can like & dislike photos
Comments may be posted
Other members may tag
Likes, dislikes, tags, and comments are only visible to logged-in members. Even if the photo album is set to public!
NB: It's not possible to disable dislikes separately. If you don't want your members to be able to dislike you, you'll also need to disable liking.
