User group rights

Give users limited access to parts of Congressus Manager

Updated over 3 weeks ago

In Congressus Manager, you can add multiple users to a user group.

For each user group, you can configure the rights each user has within Congressus Manager.

Super admin

You can create a "super admin" user group. A "super admin" user group has access to all current and future features of Congressus Manager. Such a user group is useful for the board, for example.

Set specific user rights

You can do this under Users > User Groups on the Rights tab.

Access Levels

You can choose between different access levels for each component. These include:

  1. No Access
The user group does not have access to this component. This component will also disappear from Congressus Manager.

  2. View Only
The user group can see this component and its contents, but cannot edit or add anything.

  3. View and Edit
The user group can view and edit this component.

  4. View and Add
The user group can view this component and add content to it. After adding content, the user can no longer edit the content.

  5. View, Add, and Edit
The user group can view this component, add content to it, and edit the content.

  6. Full Access
The user group can do everything with this component, including deleting content if necessary.

Not all access levels apply to some components. Only the relevant access levels are shown.

Permissions by Member Status

Users of the Enterprise package can also set permissions by member status. This allows access to be restricted to a portion of the membership administration.

Permissions per website

Users of the Enterprise package can set permissions per website. This allows access to be restricted to a subset of websites.

Congressus Team Rights

One of the user groups is 'Congressus Team'. From the moment the demo is created, this user group has super admin rights. This allows us to easily monitor your environment and provide input on any issues your association may encounter in Congressus Manager.

You are completely free to revoke or restrict these rights. Please be aware that this may make it more difficult for Congressus to provide support.
