Introduction
Send your members a message on their birthday.
They will wake up in the morning with a message from you, in their inbox.
Go to Settings > Birthdays to set it up. Here you can also create 1 or more congratulatory emails.
Drafting a congratulatory email
When drafting a congratulatory email, you can use {{ TAGS }} to make it more personal. You can also decide to which target audience the email should be sent.

Opting out of the birthday email
Members can choose not to receive the birthday email. On the webpage with the 'profile' module, they untick I want to receive an email on my birthday under Notifications. They only see this option when you send a congratulatory email to their member status.
You can also change this preference for a member yourself, under Preferences > Notifications > Birthday email. In the field settings per member status, you decide whether members see the option.
The birthday email is separate from mailings: a member who does not want to receive mailings still gets the birthday email, unless they have switched that off too.
Dashboard en member profile
On the Dashboard of Congressus you can also show a calendar.
In Congressus Manager on the member profile, it's also possible to show a notification for yourself.
