A selection of the most relevant questions (& answers) from the webinar:
Is a customised house style a custom feature or a setting within the app?
Answer: You can set the basic colours of the house style when creating the app and later when managing the app (in Socie management).
Which system is leading in terms of privacy?
Answer: There are Privacy Settings:
in the mobile app for the user (of the app).
In the Congressus member website (depending on your settings in Congressus, it will be displayed in the app)
Is it possible to register for events?
Answer: For events from Congressus, the following applies:
When an app user clicks on an event in the calendar, the app opens the Congressus member website in the app's ‘internal web browser’. The web page for that specific Congressus event is displayed so a member can register there.
For events created in Socie itself, you can register via the app. These events and registrations are not synchronized back to your Congressus system.
Why are members visible on the Congressus website but not in the app as long as they are not registered with the app?
Answer: This is more of a technical choice (and therefore a difference) between Socie and Congressus.
New members now receive a welcome email from Congressus with a unique link to the private section of the website. Do new members also automatically receive a message to download the app, including access?
Answer: We do not send automatic invitations; you decide when to invite your members to the app. Socie offers a standard email for this purpose. (Read the manual: Congressus App - Step 3 - Inviting your members for more information)
Can you also easily share all documents for the ALV meeting via the app?
Answer: Currently, we do not yet have a link to your Media files from Congressus (only photo albums), but you can relatively easily add a document to the app (e.g., in the bulletin board module).
Can you also use the app to give members the opportunity to vote (anonymously) during a General Meeting, for example, to approve financial reports or elect new board members, etc.?
Answer: There is a Poll module that allows you to vote anonymously on multiple issues.
Can crowdfunding only be done within the app's members? How about outside of it?
Answer: This can also be done outside of the app, publicly. When creating a crowdfunding campaign, you have the option to generate a web page, which is publicly accessible.
Is it possible to start with the basic app, for example, and then upgrade to the plus app after a few months? Or is the subscription for each of the three options fixed for a year?
Answer: You can upgrade and downgrade from Start to Plus and back every month. Only with a Premium app (your own app in App Stores and your own start-up logo/icon) in the first year.
Are Notice Board and Locations included in Start or Plus?
Answer: You can see whether a module is a Start or Plus module. At socie.nl/features, you will find an overview of all modules that are included in Start and/or Plus.
What I find particularly important is signing up for activities and being able to purchase the correct ticket based on their membership type.
Answer: In principle, this still works this way. The Agenda module in the App shows “All Events from Congressus.” Regardless of whether the Member in question would be eligible to sign up for this event or not.
Only when a member wants to register and clicks on the event (and is thereby sent to the member website (of Congressus) in the internal web browser) will the member, after logging in, be able to register or not based on the “limitations of that Event.”
Members can therefore still only register for events for which they are allowed to register according to the settings/rights (in Congressus) of that Event.
Can you link the activities from the calendar to your personal calendar?
Answer: You can add an event from the calendar to your personal calendar from within the app.
Can you see which members have installed the app?
In Socie, you can see which members have been active and when. We cannot see whether members have subsequently deleted the app.
Can we also migrate the event history, photo albums, reports, etc. from our current app package that we are using now to the Congressus app?
Answer: A number of modules in Socie are connected to Congressus by default. Read this article about connecting and disconnecting feeds.
Is there a sample app that can be viewed?
We do not have a sample app to look at. However, after creating your own app, it will already be filled with fun modules by default. You can then test/explore/play around with it for four weeks.
Previously, it was also asked whether this could be used, for example, for voting during general meetings. Can these polls be created in real time and used for this purpose?
Answer: In a sense, this is possible with the Poll module in Socie. Someone will then be able to create the polls on the spot. This new Poll should be visible in the app within a few seconds so that members can vote.
Are push notifications possible in the starter package?
Answer: You can also send push notifications in the starter package :)
In the case of the premium app: is it possible to add a feature that we come up with, or does it work more like a template for a custom app?
Answer: The premium app (also) consists of fixed modules (just like Start and Plus), the difference being that a Premium app is a separate app in the App Store(s), instead of our Congressus app.
Are there options for integration with accounting programs such as Twinfield to view outstanding debts or invoices?
Answer: We do not currently have this integration, and it is not on the roadmap for either Socie or Congressus.
