Creating a credit invoice
Find the invoice you want to credit.
Click on ‘Other > Create credit invoice’ in the top right corner.
Click on ‘Create credit invoice’.
Adjust the invoice lines if necessary.
Send credit invoice
Now it's time to send the credit invoice. You can do this by email, of course, but if you prefer not to, you can choose ‘manual’. We will then mark the invoice as sent, without the member receiving an email with the credit invoice.
Click on 'Send invoice'
By default, we select the same shipping method as for the original invoice. You can, of course, change the shipping method.
Click on ‘Send invoice’
Process payment
Has the original invoice not yet been paid (in full)? After sending the credit invoice, you will be asked if you want to register a payment.
Click on ‘Process payment’ to add a cross payment. This will offset the original invoice and the credit invoice against each other and mark both as paid in your records.
Please note: if the outstanding amounts on the original invoice and the credit invoice do not match, we will only process a cross payment for the smallest outstanding amount. The invoices will then not both be marked as paid.
Crediting invoices in bulk
If you want to credit a large number of selected invoices, you can do so as a bulk action:
Go to ‘Invoices’
Click on ‘Actions > Create credit invoices’ in the top right corner
Select the invoices you want to credit
Select 'Credit selected invoices'
