Using Congressus as identity provider for OAuth2.0

Updated over 2 years ago

When developing an application, it can be frustrating for members to require a separate account to log in. Congressus offers a solution: as an OAuth2.0 identity provider your Members' Congressus credentials can be used to log into other applications. Similarly to "Log in with Google" or "Login with Facebook", but with the name of your association.

In short: You send your users through to your association's website, we authenticate the user and send them back to you with an authentication code. That authentication code is used to verify that the user is logged in and verifies their personal information.
